- enters its 10th successful year with In person & Virtual Events...an
International Artists Showcase, ART|DIVA Bus Tours, Music, Writers Salons,
and much more.

Celebrate ORGULLO continues to showcase quality events, artists, performances &
programming to Miami’s first Hispanic LGBT Pride festival. For 2020, we are
celebrating UNITY in DIVERSITY, through Art, Music, Dance, Photography, Film and
Spoken Word.

Proceeds benefit our LGBT Scholarship Fund and year round programming of the
Unity Coalition|Coalicion Unida, Inc.

Unity Coalition|Coalición Unida is a Florida 501(c)3 non-profit whose focus is the
Leadership, Protection & Promotion of Latinx|Hispanic LGBTQ rights (lesbian, gay,
bisexual, transgender, questioning) - The only organization of its kind in South
Florida since 2002.

We are proud to present the Annual Celebrate ORGULLO Festival which highlights,
celebrates and supports the contributions of the Hispanic LGBT community.

ABOUT NATIONAL HISPANIC HERITAGE MONTH
The observation started in 1968 as Hispanic Heritage Week under President
Lyndon Johnson and was expanded by President Ronald Reagan in 1988 to
cover the 30-day period from September 15 through October 15. The day of
September 15 is significant because it is the anniversary of independence for
Latin American countries Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and
Nicaragua. In addition, Mexico and Chile celebrate their independence days
on September 16 and September 18, respectively.

latinx|hispanx LGBTQ (lesbianas, gay, bisexual, transgénero, cuestionando)

Guatemala, Honduras y Nicaragua. Además, México y Chile celebran su independencia
el 16 y 18 de Septiembre, respectivamente.
COLLABORATION with Art of Change 21
Since its creation in Paris in 2014 in the perspective of COP21, Art of Change 21
highlights the role of artists and creativity as accelerators of the ecological transition and
acts on an international scale.

UC|CU’s Celebrate ORGULLO Festival is proudly partnering with Art of Change 21.

Since 2015, Maskbook project has taken global creative action on the link between
health and the environment, using the protective mask as a symbol. After air pollution,
the Covid-19 pandemic is exposing this link on an unprecedented scale and galvanizing
us into action. Art of Change 21 is launching the COVID-19 Maskbook campaign to
collectively create the largest international gallery of masked, creative and committed
engaged portraits on the theme of COVID-19.

International, collective work of art, Maskbook raises awareness about the link between
health, air pollution & climate change, using the mask as a symbol.

Artist, Writers and performers will help us navigate out of, reflect on, and rise from an
unimaginable global crisis, and explore how our UNITY IN DIVERSITY can inspire us - through
Art, Society, Music, Rhythm, Crisis, Hope & Self-Expression.

Identifying connections and how we express them in and through our daily lives, today.

These traditions, along with what we each bring to them, help tell our stories, in our personal
Style and Expression.

Our Chosen Families. Our Identities. Our Individualism.  Our Essence. Our ORGULLO.

Becoming a U.S citizen should not mean or require shedding culture & traditions.
