Unity Coalition|Coalición Unida is a Florida 501(c)3 non-profit whose focus is the Leadership, Protection & Promotion of Latinx|Hispanic LGBTQ+ rights (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning) 
- The only organization of its kind in South Florida since 2002.

We are proud to present the Annual Celebrate ORGULLO Festival which highlights, celebrates and supports the contributions of the Hispanic & Indigenous LGBTQI+ community.

ABOUT NATIONAL HISPANIC HERITAGE MONTH
The observation started in 1968 as Hispanic Heritage Week under President Lyndon Johnson and was expanded by President Ronald Reagan in 1988 to cover the 30-day period from September 15 through October 15. The day of  September 15 is significant because it is 
the anniversary of independence for Latin American countries Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and  Nicaragua. In addition, Mexico and Chile celebrate their independence days on September 16 and September 18, respectively.
